There are many ways to load or deposit money onto a prepaid card.

The simplest way to load a prepaid debit card is to have the funds electronically deposited. Most companies allow payroll and government checks (such as social security, unemployment, tax refund, and disability checks) to be directly deposited into a prepaid debit card account.  This way, your paycheck or other funds can be accessible almost immediately.  If you use direct deposit to load your paycheck on your prepaid debit card, you usually have access to your paycheck the day you get paid.

Cash can also be used to load a prepaid debit card. Money transferring services, such as MoneyGram or Western Union, can be used to load cash onto a prepaid card.

Some prepaid debit cards allow you to “load” or deposit money into your card account by bringing cash to a retail location.  You simply give the cashier the money, and they deposit the money into your prepaid debit card account.  It’s immediate, and it’s easy.
