I am a caregiver for a terminally ill man. I am his payee and his name is attached also too the account. Over the years we banked w/comerica. About a year or so ago if you all recall the eastern boarderer had a blackout…….. I had depostied monies into the account, but the bank didnt recognise anymore of them and charged me many many over draft fee’s even though the monies was there, 243.00 worth of overdraft fees too be exact. We payed them but felt we werent at fault czu of the blackout, which they took were aware of, and had the audasity too say our deposit wasnt recognised by a 15 minute time lapse and still took our money. I said i’m done w/this bank, was dis=satifisifed, and we had words, the manager who clearly wanted my money had a tude, called the cops, i explained too him what happened, he seen my side of the story, but i went and closed the account at another branch, got a slip showing the account was closed and no monies were owed, and i later found out that woman put me on chex system. Not owing nothing and all because we agree we didnt disagree, this is unfair and seems illegal. Its been over a month since i’ve sent a letter disputing this, still nothing, now what?
I am very ill with health and the person i am a caregiver for is terminal……..what do i do? i’ve sent certififed mails with letters. nothing! The Comerica in Oxford, Michigan did this.
